I’m a Mets fan, orange and blue,
Living in the land of Phillies crew.
I stand tall and proud,
Among their crowd,
Waiting for a season new.
I shake my head in perplex –
Who upon us installed this hex?
Brutally struck,
All bad luck.
This is a curses muscle flex.
I beg now for mercy please.
Caught is misery’s squeeze.
Call the games,
Extinguish flames.
Bring on winters deep freeze.
